Nearly one-third of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) have a comorbid diagnosis of depression. Depression is associated with reduced patient engagement, poor medication management, uncontrolled blood glucose levels, and increased health care expenditures. The results of a collaborative program between Community Health Centers and Bristol-Myers Squibb to address this problem is outlined in this CE article.
